Road to Avonlea

Road to Avonlea is a heartwarming series for the whole family, you end up getting so wrapped up in the lives of the residents of Avonlea and the King family. The casting and acting are so well done! Set in the early 1900’s a young girl, Sara Stanley is sent to live with her mother’s relatives in Prince Edward Island because her father, wants to protect her from a scandal he is facing in Montreal. Sara in particular will have to make many adjustments from her privileged life to survive emotionally in rural Avonlea. The King family have lived in a small farming community called Avonlea on PEI for generations where the eldest of the five King siblings, Hetty, oversees the goings-on in the family and ensures everything runs to her high and rigid standards.
